cleaning time

I’m sorry for the absence and quietness over here. It has been 20 days of cleaning. I have been cleaning out Christmas, cleaning closets, cleaning the fridge, and cleaning book shelves.

I have made a chunky vegetable soup out of left over vegetables and Jamon Serrano (Spanish cured ham). And I have ordered my books by colours. It looks more harmonious and I love the fresh feeling of a good cleaning and tidying session.

I have also bought yarn. Lovely soft tweed rowan yarn. After looking for Rowan yarn in a dozen of yarn stores I finally found one store that had it. I could almost not believe my luck when I found the exact colour I was hoping to find. Colourway 150. If you are on Ravelry you can easily find out what is next on my knitting list… If not I’ll show you as soon as there is enough light to take a good photo. I can’t wait to cast on.

  1. It is such a good feeling to start the new year with a clean house, isn't it?

And how exciting to track down the wool you want.

  4. I'll have to head over to Ravelry and see what you want to knit!

It's nice to have a clean house! Mine is clean but often not so tidy - with almost no storage space and all that I have taken up with craft stuff......

  6. OK. I have a friend like you. she comes over and organizes my books by size and color. I don't have that gene in my dna, but I wish I did.

Can't wait to see that knitting!!!

now . . . off to clean, maybe.

  9. missed you while you were busy cleaning! Wow, that must be wonderful to have such a neat and tidy home. I got bit by the cleaning bug myself, but just for this morning, not 20 days! Your meal looks delicious and healthy. Such pretty books when you arrange them by color.
Happy day to you! Looking forward to seeing your knitting!
